"Key Yourself In"
This is “Key Yourself In”
To key yourself in Think about where you’ve been
How certain experiences
Prepare you for life
How spiritual verses
Can be applied
From Buddha, what will we teach Enlightenment gained through compassionate speech
From Moses, what will we teach Strength is in faith, and will help you reach
From African Deities, what will we teach
We are protected, guided, and we
From Muhammad, what will we teach The sound of prayer creates harmony and peace
From Confucius, what will we teach The spirit of society is equality among beings
From Jesus, what will we teach Love lights the way for us to see
Certain experiences unlock others We learn this from being taught by our fathers and mothers
They teach us to be moral, and strong, and kind
So, when we face a mountain, we are able to climb
When you meet a fellow hiker While climbing up
Encourage them to climb even higher
And wish them Goodwill and Goodluck
Our journeys, they’re all interconnected
All the pathways intersected
Mountains are much easier to climb When each of us are all accepted
Being a friend in the climb with a word The Good Word, the word Love Each religion, all sacred
What does every religion and faith have in common?
Kindness to Your Neighbor
It’s what makes us all one

Addendum: I do support respect of all religions. I do not support interpretations of any religions (or government practices) that result in violence or discrimination. I think there are peaceful and amicable ways to approach disagreements, amend forgiveness, and create friendships between all. Though, I do not claim to be expert on politics, as I write generally on peace, morality, and existentialism, I would hope that my previous statement, that there are peaceful and amicable ways to heal conflict, is ultimately true.
I see a world without violence, discrimination, and hate in the future. I wish for this peace, positivity, and prosperity. It has been wished by many, for so long. It will take single decisions by each person, it will take energy, it will take working together, and it will take love.
When I think of this future, when I write about this future, I can picture it so clearly. It's right around the corner. It's friendship, it's handshakes and smiles, it's art and music and books, it's family and community, it's a celebration of Peace. I'm ready to celebrate it right now, are you? What can you do create an environment free from conflict? What can you do to recognize your fellow brothers and sisters on Earth as family, and say "We are One"...and say "All you need is Love"...and say "Peace is Here"?
